Dylan Parks
Environmental Technician / Field Services
Dylan is a recent graduate from Salisbury University in Maryland, where he earned a degree in Environmental Studies. But his love for the environment started as a youth when he joined Scouting. He rapidly learned everything he could revolving around the outdoors and being part of his environment. Culminating in earning the Highest Award in Scouting; the rank of Eagle Scout.
While in college he played for the Men's Soccer Team (A sports enthusiast as well) and gained valuable environmental experience as an Activist Field Guide for Stormwater Runoff BMP’s, Big Island Invasive Species Committee volunteer in Hawai’i and local investigative work on soil and groundwater sampling projects of contaminated sites. Everything about Dylan makes him a great addition to the GreenWorks team.
Upon graduation from his College Studies, Dylan dove into the field of Aquaculture where he worked with the Barnegat Oyster Collective. He was involved in all aspects of oyster production and improving his environment from actual rearing of oysters and water quality testing to environmental education and public outreach about the importance of good water quality. His deep respect for the environment and his drive for professional advancement led him to GreenWorks.
When you work with Dylan, be sure to ask him about his other interests like his surfing and snowboarding adventures (He has quite the stories to tell); his take on living a healthy lifestyle (He says its a choice and a commitment), and his love of running and hiking. What Dylan likes most about working at GWE is the opportunity to help people lead healthier lives. We are excited to add Dylan to our Team.
