Professional Air Purifier Installation for New Jersey Homes
GreenWorks Environmental installs and repairs air purifiers across New Jersey for homes where allergies, odors, or airborne contaminants are a concern. Below you will find the system types we install, how the installation process works, and what each technology actually removes, so you can tell whether a whole house system or a portable unit fits your home.
Air Conditioning Cools Your Home—It Does Not Purify It
Indoor air can contain two to five times more pollutants than outdoor air, and most particles slip past a standard HVAC filter. Central AC does little against dust, pollen, mold spores, bacteria, viruses, or volatile organic compounds. A dedicated purifier is what removes them from circulation.
Air Purifiers We Install and Service
Different homes need different technology. A system sized for allergens does nothing about VOCs, and a UV lamp does nothing about dust. We recommend equipment based on your ductwork, square footage, and what testing finds in your air.
Whole-House Air Purifiers
Whole-house air purifiers connect to your HVAC system, treating every room from one central point. They handle larger spaces without separate machines running room to room, though whole-home units may be limited by duct size, which we check before recommending one.
Portable Air Purifiers
Portable air purifiers suit renters, single-room issues, and homes without ductwork. Installing one involves unboxing, preparing the unit, and plugging it in—often taking just 15 minutes—and portable units typically do not require building permits when plugged into standard outlets.
HEPA Filter Systems
High-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters remove 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, including most allergens and mold spores. HEPA filters need replacement every 6 to 12 months, and a clogged filter stops working before it looks dirty.
Activated Carbon and VOC Filtration
Some air purifiers target specific pollutants like VOCs, gases, chemicals, and odors that particle filters cannot trap. Activated carbon is often paired with HEPA media and replaced every 3 to 6 months, depending on the load it carries.
UV Light and UVC Purifiers
UVC air purifiers sterilize airborne microorganisms continuously, destroying viruses, bacteria, and mold at the DNA level as air passes the lamp. Bulbs last about two years before they need replacing.
We Repair Air Purifiers Too
We repair air purifiers that will not turn on, run continuously, produce low airflow, or give off odors, and we diagnose smart units reporting subpar performance. Filters lose effectiveness when clogged, so a unit that stops working often has a dirty filter rather than a mechanical failure.
Why Choose GreenWorks for Air Purifier Installation
Our Installations Stop Pollutants in Their Tracks
GreenWorks installs air purifiers that trap potentially harmful pollutants. These include tiny airborne particles that HVAC filters tend to miss, such as:
Dust
Mites
Pollen
Pet Dander
Viruses
Bacteria
Chemicals
These contaminant particles may be invisible to the naked eye, but our advanced air purification systems can prevent them from jeopardizing your family’s comfort and safety. Our air purifiers also prevent your surfaces from accumulating debris, reducing your need to clean and dust frequently.

Our Air Purifier Installation Process
STEP 01
Schedule Your Service
Call and describe what you are dealing with, whether that is allergy symptoms indoors, a lingering odor, or a general concern about air quality. We ask about your home's size, your HVAC setup, and whether anyone has respiratory sensitivities.
STEP 02
Professional Evaluation
We evaluate your home's air quality and existing HVAC system, identify your heating system type, and check duct size and airflow. Ductwork is inspected for leaks, since air leaks reduce how effectively any purifier can work.
STEP 03
Recommended Solution
You receive a recommendation covering the system type, specific model, installation location, and what it will and will not address. If purification is not the right answer because the source is mold or a ventilation gap, we will tell you directly.
STEP 04
Complete the Work
We shut off power to the HVAC system, mount the unit in the supply or return plenum, and integrate it with your air handler. Mounting prevents vibration, and we handle any permits local regulations require for HVAC modifications.
STEP 05
Final Walkthrough and Follow-Up
We confirm the system runs correctly, then walk you through the manual, the filter replacement schedule, and basic upkeep. You leave knowing when filters need changing, when UV bulbs expire, and what a unit sounds like when something is wrong.
