Got That Squishy Yard

Being a Certified NDS Drainage Contractor arms us with the knowledge to assess and diagnose your yard drainage issues. If you Got That Squishy Yard or Oozing Basement, NDS Certified PDC’s excel at addressing:

  1. Standing water on the driveway or pooling water at the foundation
  2. Soft/squishy areas of the yard or areas with poor draining soil
  3. Downspouts that discharge underground to no apparent discharge point
  4. Basements and crawl spaces that are intermittently moist but never flood
  5. Standing water in the Yard, on the Patio, or around the pool area

These are the five most common symptoms of poor yard drainage. Over time these problems can cause minor issues like dead grass and sopping yards but can lead to major problems like mold, mildew, and wood rot that degrade Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and biodeteriorate your home.

Nds ceritified high-quality yard drainage productsHigh-Quality Products

Being an NDS Certified PDC gives us access to high-quality products for your yard drainage, basement, and crawl space moisture management project. Whether your project requires a downspout extension or a comprehensive water management system, you can be confident the job will be done right.

Professional-Grade Catch Basins, Flo-Wells, EZ-Flow Pipe, and Pop-Up Emitters

Catch basinsCatch Basins (aka Yard Drains) are great for capturing large amounts of surface runoff. These products are not only functional but decorative. And better yet, most NDS products are environmentally friendly, made from 100% recycled materials that have a useful lifespan of on average more than fifty years.

Flo wellsFlo-Wells (aka dry wells) can handle large volumes of water in a small area. It can be set up to filter stormwater naturally through the subsurface. This can help reduce pollutants while replenishing groundwater tables by discharging stormwater on site.

Nds ez-flowThe NDS EZ-Flow is a gravel-free French Drain used in the yard, basement, crawl space in conjunction with retaining walls, curtain, and foundation drains. It consists of a perforated pipe in a soiled sock with a lightweight “Poly-Rock” aggregate. Poly-Rock™ is an engineered polystyrene peanut with flow channels that allow 30% greater water flow rates over gravel. EZ-Flow has a 100-year material lifespan.

Nds pop-up drainage emitterThe NDS Pop-Up Drainage Emitter is the final discharge point of your water drainage system that is easy to maintain and keeps mice and other small mammals from entering and clogging your drainage system. The patented spring-loaded cap opens to allow water to exit and closes to secure the pipe that can also be used with sump pumps.

Three way yard drainageDon’t Forget the Water Flow Calculations

One of the biggest concerns we hear of is how do you calculate the volume of water to manage on your site. Sizing up the system and calculating stormwater runoff is easy if you are an NDS Certified PDC, as they have access to drainage calculators and professional design teams at NDS.

Yard Drainage Got You Confused

Welcome to the club. That’s what we are here for.

While it’s pretty easy to think you can do this all on your own, it takes way longer than you think and is very physically demanding.

Trust us, we’ve seen countless family projects like additions, new pools, and patios fail because drainage issues were not properly addressed.

Don’t let that happen to you, and call GreenWorks for help.
